ATD-63 Fine Bubble Tube Diffuser
The ATD-63 tube diffuser is a fine bubble aeration element with a 63 mm cylindrical body that mounts directly along the air header. Where disc and plate diffusers need a wide floor area, in narrow and deep basins or when work is confined to a small section of an existing tank, the tube geometry offers a clear installation advantage. Because the diffusers line up along the pipe, no separate floor grid is required, which cuts installation time and the number of fittings. Four membrane materials are offered and the choice follows the character of the effluent directly. EPDM is the economical, reliable option for domestic-strength wastewater. Silicone withstands temperature fluctuation and fat and grease loading better. PTFE-coated membranes reduce surface fouling in chemically aggressive environments and scaling-prone waters, extending the cleaning interval. HTPU is preferred where high mechanical strength is needed. The wide 0-40 m³/h capacity band makes it possible to cover different load scenarios with a single diffuser type. That flexibility is especially useful in plants commissioned in phases: a plant running at low population equivalent in its early years can keep using the same grid at higher flow once capacity fills. During installation, keeping the tubes straight on the horizontal axis and evenly spaced along the header is important for homogeneous air distribution.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is a PTFE membrane needed?
In scaling-prone waters and chemically aggressive industrial effluent, PTFE coating reduces surface fouling and extends the chemical cleaning interval.
Why choose tube diffusers in narrow basins?
They mount directly along the header, so no separate floor grid is needed — installation and later maintenance are far easier in confined space.
