APK series plate diffusers are fine bubble aeration elements produced in seven lengths from 1000 mm to 4000 mm, simplifying grid installation in large basins. In the longest model a single unit provides 0.73 m² of diffuser area and 85 Nm³/h of air flow, which sharply reduces the number of connection points needed across a wide floor. Fewer connections not only shorten installation but also cut the number of submerged gaskets and clamps, lowering the long-term leak risk. The membrane material is PUR. Compared with EPDM, PUR offers higher mechanical strength and tear resistance — a property that matters on long bodies, because stress and vibration loading on the membrane grow with length. The Ø32 connection diameter suits standard air headers and in most refurbishment projects removes the need to change existing pipework. Length is selected from basin geometry. In long, narrow tanks the 3000-4000 mm models run parallel to the basin axis and cover the whole floor with very few connections. In square-plan basins shorter models allow finer adjustment of grid spacing. Measuring and balancing the air flow to each diffuser during commissioning is particularly important with long bodies: uneven distribution leaves the units at the end of the line under-aerated.
