AQUAS30 is a heavy duty repair clamp for large diameter transmission mains. At this scale a failure means not one customer but an entire district losing supply, so intervention time becomes a critical operating parameter directly. Repairing with a clamp rather than cutting the line and replacing a section reduces both outage duration and excavation volume several times over. At large diameters, the decisive factor for sealing is that gasket pressure is distributed evenly around the circumference. The model is therefore produced with 12, 18 or 24 M16 bolts, the count chosen from pipe diameter and working pressure. Because the force is divided across many points, the load on each bolt stays reasonable and no gaps open at the gasket face. A 1.5 mm body thickness keeps the clamp in shape during tightening at large diameters; a thinner body would deform at this scale and break the seal. The 2.5 mm U-type locking bar serves the same purpose and prevents the wings from splaying. AISI304 is sufficient for standard applications; AISI316 should be preferred on coastal sites, in saline soils and in high-chloride ground. The gasket is specified as EPDM or NBR. On installations of this size, controlled application of tightening torque and a staged, crosswise bolt sequence are what secure a seal on the first attempt.
