The AQUAS20 repair clamp is designed to cover longer damage zones on medium diameter pressurised lines. As diameter grows, the total force acting on the gasket rises too, and a single-bolt clamp can no longer generate sufficient sealing pressure. On this model the bolt count is specified as 4, 6 or 8 according to need, distributing load evenly along the body. That achieves sealing across a wider surface while preventing excessive stress at any single point. The U-type locking bar stops the clamp wings from splaying during tightening, so the gasket is compressed uniformly. At 2.5 mm thick, this bar is decisive in keeping the clamp in shape on high-pressure lines. Body thickness is chosen as 1, 1.2 or 1.5 mm depending on the application; a thicker body means higher pressure and larger diameter. On material, AISI304 suits general use while AISI316 is recommended in aggressive soils and high-chloride environments. The gasket is specified as EPDM or NBR. During fitting it is important to tighten the bolts in an alternating, staged sequence; working along one side pushes the gasket sideways and lets the leak persist. Once tightening is complete, pressurising the line and observing it briefly is the most practical way to confirm the repair.
