AQUAS10 - Pipe Repair Clamp

The AQUAS10 repair clamp seals point leaks on small and medium diameter pressurised lines without replacing the pipe. The most common faults on distribution networks are corrosion pinholes, scratches and cracks caused during handling or excavation, and gasket leaks at joints. Cutting the line and replacing a section for such faults means both a long outage and significant excavation cost. A repair clamp encircles the damaged area and seals over the gasket face, cutting intervention time from hours to minutes. The body is produced in AISI304 or AISI316 stainless steel. For a repair component that will stay permanently damp underground, material choice determines service life directly; AISI316 should be chosen in saline soils and high-chloride areas. A body thickness of 0.6-0.8 mm keeps the flexibility needed for the clamp to seat fully on the pipe while providing the required strength. Gasket material follows the fluid carried: EPDM is the standard choice for potable and general water lines, while NBR is used with oil and hydrocarbon-bearing fluids. The 16-24 bar working pressure sits well above typical municipal operating pressures and leaves a safety margin against surge. During fitting it is critical that the gasket seats on a clean pipe surface; rust, debris or a sharp burr will allow the leak to continue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a repair clamp a permanent solution?

Selected for the right diameter and pressure class and fitted on a clean surface, it can serve permanently. Where corrosion is widespread, replacing the line is the better answer.

EPDM or NBR gasket?

EPDM for potable and general water lines; NBR where the fluid contains oil, fuel or hydrocarbons.
