Lamella Settlers

Lamella settlers use inclined plate packs to offer a far larger settling surface than a conventional clarifier of the same footprint. In the narrow channels between plates a particle only has to travel a few centimetres, so settling completes much faster. That means either uprating an existing tank or achieving the same performance in a smaller area on a new plant. They are widely used for floc separation after chemical dosing, in surface water treatment and in industrial pre-treatment.
